Remote sites can be equipped with virtually any types of hardware: PC-based data acquisition system, real-time embedded hardware, PLCs, or stand-alone instruments.
The Main Application Computer collects data into a central location. With the use of Central Database Server, data can be accessed concurrently by multiple users and applications, data integrity can be maintained, and features such as users authentication, permissions, and advanced data manipulation capabilities for improved data analysis can be implemented.
