Laurent Mingo, M.A.Sc, P.Eng.
Laurent is the founder and Principal of BSI, and a highly experienced systems engineer who has been active in the field
of Tests and Measurements for more than 15 years. His expertise is with data acquisition, data management, and systems integration.
Laurent has worked on many projects involving manufacturing tests, data & image acquisition, R&D applications in a
research environment. He is a Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) and thanks to a proven track record of delivering
quality systems to customers, BSI obtained National Instruments Alliance membership in 2004.
Olivier Lessard Fontaine, B.Eng. EE.
Olivier is a talented LabVIEW developer who has been gaining experience in the field of data acquisition systems through
past assignments with the Canadian Space Agency and the University of Sherbrooke's Electrical Engineering Department.
He successfully managed the development of a wireless data acquisition system around Crossbow MicaZ platform and
LabVIEW user interface, and programmed the data acquisition of a next generation medical scanner with high precision
time resolution. Olivier is a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer.
Simon Shutter, M.Sc., P.Geo., Senior Database System Developer
Simon has extensive experience designing and developing relational databases on a variety of platforms including SQL Server,
PostgreSQL, Oracle and Access. He has worked for a variety of clients in the manufacturing, resource and environmental
industries. Recent project highlights include a data logger production and quality control database and an inventory
management system for a sawmill and kiln operation. Simon has also written numerous dynamic web applications, windows
applications and add-ins.
Jack Hughes, Senior Database System Developer
Microsoft certified, Jack Hughes has been developing databases in programs such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Access and
FoxPro since 1986. From 2003-2007, he was director of IT for Global Mentoring Solutions where he managed a team of developers
for the creation of proprietary software. During this time, he also taught courses at the University of British Columbia on
SQL Server, web development and database development. Using MySQL, Jack also developed database applications with
regards to data acquisition systems for wireless equipment testing.
