What Can we do for your Organization?
To understand a physical phenomenon or control a process, it has to be measured. Consider a tiny temperature sensor on a micro-controller board, or hundreds of distributed current probes in a photovoltaic power plant, or a radar antenna. In each case the resulting data ought to be handled to effectively impart information to the initial measurements. This is the purpose of a data acquisition system: to bring meaning to raw measurements. This is what we have been doing successfully for many organizations, and this is is what we can do for yours: providing a cost-effective, technology-driven data acquisition solution that will support information-based decision making.

Signal processing assistance
By UBC Professor from Vancouver on 07/26/2013
Recommended: Yes
My team of graduate students have utilized the services of BSI over the past few years to develop customized hardware/software systems for measuring biomechanical and neurobehavioural signals. Laurent has been very responsive to our needs. He has worked extremely well with my team members, knowing when to proceed, or when to stop and ask me for more clarification. Work has been done in a timely manner.
System to Measure Foot Movement in an MRI
By Jeremy from Vancouver on 06/11/2013
Pros: Attentive to our needs. Creative solution to a complex problem.
Recommended: Yes
We have used the services of BSI in the past and when starting a new project we had encountered a problem where we needed assistance in developing a system to measure the movement of the feet for an experiment in an MRI. The solution created by Laurent was creative and elegant. Most importantly it worked flawlessly. The job was also done promptly and Laurent was very attentive to our needs and the requirements to use the equipment in a magnetic environment.
Environmental Monitoring Program
By Institute of Ocean Science from Sidney, BC on 05/27/2013
Pros: Extremely knowedgeable
Recommended: Yes
We have used Blue Systems a couple times in the past four years and have always benefited from their vast knowledge base. We have challenged them with unique, one of a kind, instrument design protocols and they have always met our expectations.
Energy consumption logging for crushing system
By Inspectorate Mining Services from Richmond, BC on 05/15/2013
Pros: Laurent was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs
Recommended: Yes
We contacted BSI to put together a LV application to measure and log energy consumption data from a crushing plant. The interface put together by Laurent exceeded expectations as he included other features to simplify data logging and error tracking. Much care was taken to get the job done right and on time.
Ice penetrating radar system
By Glaciology Group, Science Institute, University of from Reykjavík, Iceland on 05/15/2013
Recommended: Yes
In 2009, when looking for an ice penetrating Radar system to replace our old one, developed in the 1970s, we found that BLUE System Integration had already developed one, that could easily be adopted to our needs. The first version of the system was produced and successfully used in the field in 2010. Since then BSI has made several revisions of the RADAR system to adopt to our special needs. In this they have been extremely flexible and interested in fulfilling our requirements. The BSI radar system has now been used to collect about 1000km of RES profiles on Icelandic Glaciers.
Heater Development Test Bench
By Product Developer from Richmond, B.C. Canada on 04/10/2013
Recommended: Yes
BSI integrated a broad variety of sensors, NI hardware and Labview software utilized in a dedicated test bench. The test bench was developed to facilitate combustion research in the development and for diesel fired heater products. The test bench performs very well and has become an essential tool within our organization.
Hardware-software integration for ice-penetrating radar system
By Glaciology Group, SFU Department of Earth Sciences from Burnaby, BC, Canada on 03/06/2013
Recommended: Yes
We contracted BSI to integrate the hardware components of our portable ice-penetrating radar system and are very happy with the result. We now have a software-based system that we have used successfully to measure ice depth and image englacial thermal structure during four field campaigns in the St. Elias Mountains of Yukon, Canada.
